What's Happening at the Bee Yards
Well, we've been pulling honey for the last 8 days. Each day starts around 10:00 am in the bee yard because we want most of the foragers to be gone. That makes it a lot easier to get in the bee hives without disturbing them too much (less stings too)! They aren't real happy with us right now because we are grabbing the honey and taking it to our processing rooms. Once the honey is extracting we give them back the supers to clean up and hopefully fill back up with honey if the honey flow is still going on. I think it is tapering off now but the blackberries and privett are still blooming so they have that to work.

5-15-26Well, we finally finished pulling all the honey, Praise the Lord. He has blessed us this year. We are up to 87 hives at the moment and thank God he sent me some help. It has taken 14 days to pull it all and we are waiting on jars to finish putting it on the shelves. 225 gallons so far and lots of work still to do. Stay tuned!
5-19-2026Hey, I am lucky enough to buy some more hives from a friend today in Maysville before he moves to Florida. So, tonight is the big pickup. We are moving them in the evening to give the bees time to come home from foraging and to keep from being stung so much, Lord willing. Picking up 32 hives and bringing them to the Canon location before splitting into another yard soon. Please say a prayer all goes well!
